What Veedz AI is

Veedz AI is a browser-based AI upscaler that enhances images up to 4× and videos locally on your device. It uses an AI enhancement model that runs via WebGPU on compatible browsers, with a fallback for universal support.

The AI model downloads once on first use and is then cached in your browser. After that, Veedz AI loads and operates instantly — even offline.

Supported formats: JPEG, PNG, WebP, AVIF (images) and MP4 H.264, WebM VP8/VP9 (video). Image upscaling: 2× and 4×. Video upscaling: 2×. No file size limit beyond available device RAM.

Technology

Image and video processing runs on WebGPU (Chrome 113+, Edge 113+) for hardware-accelerated neural inference, with fallback for Firefox and Safari. Video frame decoding and encoding uses the WebCodecs API (Chrome/Edge only). The underlying AI model is general-purpose and handles photographic and illustrated content alike.

All computation happens inside your browser tab. Veedz AI has no backend API, no file upload endpoint, and no telemetry on the files you process. The only network requests are the initial page load and the one-time model download.

Browser compatibility

Full support — images + video, GPU-accelerated: Chrome 113+, Edge 113+. Partial support — images only, CPU mode: Firefox, Safari 17+. Video upscaling requires the WebCodecs API, currently only available in Chromium-based browsers.
